NBUILD: AKEREDOLU LAUDS FG ON TOOLS


The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, has commended the Federal Government on the training of youths under the ongoing Nbuild training programme in the State and across the country. The Governor made this commendation on Friday through his Special Adviser on Public and Intergovernmental Relations, Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu, who also doubles as Ondo State Focal Person of the Federal Government's Youth Empowerment Programme wildly known as NPOWER. Mrs Ademosu who represented the Governor during a visit to the various Government Technical Colleges, venues for the training, in the State, stated that the initiative of the Federal Government to train these youths will have many positive impacts on the Nigerian Society.


While inspecting the tools delivered to the Government Technical College, Okitipupa by the Federal Government for the training, the Special Adviser to the Governor pointed out that "this set of youths will be taught the various skills and crafts that will make them self dependent in life". She charged the Principal to always make sure that the tools are utilized for the purpose of the training and the trainees.

During his reaction, the Principal, Mr Adepoju S.J, thanked Mr Governor first for the confidence he has in the technical college and later his unending support for the NBUILD training programme ever since its commencement in the College.

In another part of the inspection visit to Government Technical College, Oke - Igbo, Mrs Ademosu informed the instructors that by the NBUILD training programme, the President has accorded them the honour of contributing substantially in building the Nation by impacting to the youths the various skills that will save and secure their future from poverty and that they must be ready to so embrace such honour. The Principal of the College, Mrs Adumashi M.T, who spoke for and on behalf of the student beneficiaries, staff and management of the College appreciated the President for remembering "these youths and not abandoning them to keep wandering and wasting on the streets".  She further thanked the Mr Governor for his support for the programme in the State.

Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Eric Akinboboye of Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Oke - Odunwo, Ondo shared the view that "the NBUILD training programme is an investment into the future and the society will soon reap its fruits". Mrs Ademosu thanked the Reverend Father for his handling of the programme in the institute and assures him of further support of the Governor whenever the need arises.
